Sally Meredith with Jim & Kris Russi
"Kris and I have been treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism by Sally and the entire crew at CVB. When we really needed banking help they were all there for us, especially Sally."
Jim Russi
Jim and Kris Russi reopened a historic landmark in the Wapato area using the same name that has graced the building since 1911. It was their dream to resurrect a business that had been a fixture in the area for as long as people had engaged in commerce in the Lower Yakima Valley. With the help and blessing of the prior owners, the historic Donald Fruit and Mercantile building was reopened in 2001 as a country store and picnic venue for visitors to the Yakima Valley.
In 2002 Jim, and Kris acquired a wine and beer license and began wine tasting and the promoting of Yakima Valley wines exclusively at the Mercantile. At the end of the 2002 season Jim, and Kris decided to open their own winery in the historic location. Piety Flats was a nickname for the Donald area at the turn of the last century, so Piety Flats Winery was chosen as the name. Using the 1890 hop kiln across the road as a backdrop for the Piety Flats Winery label just made it perfect.
Grant Clark with Brandon Drexler, Bryan Nelson and Russ Belsaas
"Having Grant as our banking representative is like having our own personal in-house banker. Any and all issues or questions are addressed immediately. What could be better!"
Russ Belsaas and Brandon Drexler
Belsaas & Smith Construction, Inc was first licensed and bonded in 1960 by local entrepreneurs and craftsman Robert Belsaas and Jack Smith where they began to flourish as building contractors. As years passed they were able to grow the company by hard work and reputation for quality. Among their capable employees were their sons, Russ Belsaas and John Smith whom later acquired the shares in the business in 1980. In 2008, Brandon Drexler and Bryan Nelson came aboard acquiring the shares of John Smith and have continued to strive for excellence in quality and service with each and every project.
Throughout the years, the company was able to grow taking on new challenges and changing with the times. They evolved from focusing only on local residential housing to multi-million dollar contracts throughout the state constructing homes, commercial buildings, medical facilities, environmental enhancement projects, fishery projects, streets, roads & bridges, and all aspects of underground construction.

I grew up in the Yakima Valley and graduated from Eisenhower High School. I received my undergraduate degree from WSU and my dental degree from Indiana University in 1993. After graduation I joined my father, Doctor Ronald Riehl, in the practice of dentistry. I strive to be caring and compassionate to all; my basic philosophy is: Every patient is treated as if they were family.
Continuing education is a cornerstone with me. I strive to know and learn the latest developments and technology in dentistry. This also extends to my outstanding team. On a regular and consistent basis, the entire team is involved in continuing education courses and workshops.
I love what I do and I consider myself fortunate to live in the Yakima Valley. I would invite anyone looking for a dentist to call my office.

Sally Meredith with Pam and Floyd Blinsky
"We appreciate the personal touch Central Valley Bank provides that we didn't receive from the larger banks."
Floyd Blinsky
One man called him "the sleeping giant of Yakima, Washington" others called him "a living legend" to most he is simply, Floyd. Floyd Blinsky was born and raised in Wimbledon, North Dakota to a truck driving and farming family. He knew early in his life that he wanted his own company and set his dreams into becoming realities. With a million and a half miles behind him, a strong sense of making money and a former banker for a wife; they started Floyd Blinsky Trucking, Inc., in 1977.
Floyd and Pam moved from Billings, Montana in 1987 with five tractors and trailers and switched from flat beds to refrigerated units. Floyd felt that since the trucks loaded produce in Yakima weekly, the drivers would have more time at home if he based his company there and that was important to both the Blinsky's. At the end of 2005 the company has 60 tractors and trailers with a safety and maintenance record praised by the insurance industry.
In 29 short years, Floyd has developed a top notch organization and " the living legend" lives on...

Four years of trial and error have paid off with the 46 acres producing some of the world's sweetest raspberries.

East Valley Market is located 4 miles east of Yakima on State Highway 24. The store was opened as a butcher shop in the late 1960's, and later converted to a grocery and fuel retailer. We obtained the store in September 1998.
In 2008 we renovated the entire store as the facility had detoriated, and built a new fueling station. The fueling station is large enough that RV's and semi-trucks can maneuver freely. The projects were acheived by funding from Central Valley Bank.
East Valley Market provides healthy and nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and essential daily grocery items. We are always thinking of the specific needs of our customers by providing better service and listening to our customers in order to create a pleasant store environment.
